Educational Entertainment

We can use any media or model in our learning such as technology. Today's school students are downloading homework on internet, listening to lessons via pod cast, communicating with other students all over the world through social networking sites, and even video conferencing with leaders of business and industry It can be educational entertainment because they can do their homework or get any information from internet.
Right now many companies offer any technology to use for study for example hand phone, tablet and apple. They offer facilities for student to get much information with easier. In campus almost every college student had laptop or notebook. They can download any information in campus so; they can get many information not just from their lecture.
Beside internet, they can learn anything from TV. In TV education they give much information about politic, history and economy. Besides television entertainment, entertainment-education interventions were also implemented in music and music videos that promoted sexual control, and in radio soap operas that promoted women’s issues, awareness of AIDS, sex education, and family planning. So, we can learn anything not just from our teacher but we can get from other sources.

Entertainment and Education

Entertainment-education refers to the process of purposely designing and implementing a media message to both entertain and educate, in order to increase audience knowledge about an educational issue, create favorable attitudes, and change overt behavior” (Singhal and Rogers 1999, xii). ). Like social marketing and health promotion, entertainment-education is concerned with social change at the individual and community levels (Manoff, 1985). Its focus is on how entertainment media such as soap operas, songs, cartoons, movies, comics and theater can be used to transmit information that can result in pro-social behavior.
Entertainment in education is how to make more effective study for learners. They can study not just to listen teacher at school but, they can study from outside. Education through Entertainment is not a new concept. It goes to the heart of our universal love of libraries, books, films, and museums. We love knowledge … and we love to learn in the most fun, entertaining way possible. In the 21st century, no medium has the power or the potential to entertain and to educate as television.
